Help with website advertising.

At the London Earls' Court Boat Show someone pointed out that the Beagle Project website had a Google ranking of 6 and we should be selling advertising on it to help fund the build. Now, I'd rather not but we have an obligation to maximize revenue.

If there's anyone out there with experience in this area, who could point us in the right direction we'd be glad to hear from you. peter (at) thebeagleproject (dot) com.

You might try Google's
adsense, though there might be others offering a similar service that are worth looking at.

Then start popping lots of attention-grabbing, salacious keywords into either your posts or the meta-content of your posts, before reclining to watch the revenue start piling up.

But whatever you do, don't pause to think about who the likely advertisers might be....

Thanks SW, I'm looking at adsense.

Getting Richard Dawkins to match donations seems to increase success for fund raising activities. Those Atheist Bus chaps seem to think it doubled their take, but I'd suggest that Richard was being a bit stingy and that you could at least triple your take if you only got him to agree to doubling the amount he matches in funds raised by other means. My friends (all bankers) in the city claim that this is a bit simple minded, but I suspect if you agree with them, it makes you simple minded too.

A square rigger is far more charismatic than a bus, too. You're not Bishop Sam Wilberforce, raised from the dead are you? They've done it to Charles Darwin.

Damn and blast...I am outwitted in an verbal joust (of sorts) yet again. The nice man with the shiny shoes who sold me those "Intelligence pills", assured me that it wasn't a case of his pills not working properly last time, that it was just that my strong, thick skull meant that I need to buy an extra bottle and wait a bit longer for the smarts to take effect, obviously underestimated just how thick I am...er-I mean, how thick my skull is.

Ditch the pills. Persuading your friends in city banks of the corporate social responsibility, branding and PR possibilities of sponsoring the rebuild of the new Beagle will make you taller, smarter and a great dancer.

The content you have provided is pretty interesting and useful and I will surely take note of the point you have made in the blog.

While I was browsing the Internet for ways to boost my website exposure, I read about how effective offline media is for getting additional exposure. Since online media advertising has become so competitive, I thought I will complement the online marketing efforts of my products with offline media advertising like newspaper and magazine advertising. This can be the best way to get a wider coverage for a website and draw additional traffic. I think it is a great marketing strategy to use both online and offline advertising to get more customers.

I thought this information might be useful for anyone looking for solutions to get me-ore traffic to their website.
