"For the oceans!"

Congratulations to Peter Etnoyer of Deep Sea News who has been honoured at the very glittery Goddard Memorial Dinner in Washington DC for his "outstanding and innovative use of satellite data" to describe migratory behaviour in blue whales and sea turtles in relation to sea surface temperature fronts. Peter says, "this is the first time the [NOAA David Johnson] award has been given for oceanographic work related to endangered marine species." Let's hope the trend continues.
